New Tests

As one of the largest providers of medical diagnostic services in Canada, Gamma-Dynacare is at the forefront of offering new diagnostic tests to Canadians. Our team of scientists and laboratory technologists is continuously examining and qualifying new tests to better help clinicians diagnose and treat disease. We have been instrumental in the early delivery of new tests in the areas of allergy, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, men’s health, osteoporosis, paternity, ulcers and other problems of the stomach and intestines, women’s health and more.

To provide Canadians with the newest available tests, Gamma-Dynacare has developed relationships with a number of research companies dedicated to the creation of new genetic and immune system–based diagnostic tests, tests with greater specificity and tests with greater sensitivity.

A safe and healthy workplace is critical to the success of any organization. That  is why Gamma-Dynacare offers a comprehensive menu of services designed to help companies in all industries monitor the well-being of their employees, minimize their health risks and promote wellness in the workplace. Services that we offer to employers include:

Drug testing

Accredited by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Gamma-Dynacare offers substance abuse screening tests for a variety of organizations that are highly regulated, including transportation companies subject to the randomized screening program established by the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Gamma-Dynacare is also certified by the US Department of Health and Human Services to perform urine drug screening tests for federal agencies.

Trace metal analysis

Trace metal testing detects and quantifies the presence of heavy metals or trace elements in the body. In occupational health, it may be used to monitor exposure or evaluate suspected toxicity. Gamma-Dynacare’s specialized testing facility uses the latest technology in trace metal testing, including Inductive Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry [ICP-MS]. Testing can be performed as required, either in panels or individually.
