  • Move to New Patient Services Centre in Bracebridge, Ontario

  • Fire-related damage at Accuro Ottawa facility

    We wish to advise that the Ottawa facility of Gamma-Dynacare’s transportation services division, Accuro Health Services, located at 412-1230 Old Innes Road in Ottawa, sustained damage today as a result of an early morning fire in an adjacent unit within the Innes Business Park complex.  While there was no fire damage to our unit, there was extensive smoke damage and we expect that we will not be able to access or resume operations at the facility for several days.  

    We are working to an established business continuity plan, with the goal of minimizing the impact of this incident on our patients and clients and resuming normal operations as quickly as possible. 

    Laboratory results reports that were in the Accuro facility and scheduled for delivery to healthcare providers on March 27th are being re-printed and will be delivered on March 28th.  Please note that this event is not impacting our ability to contact physicians with urgent results, as these results are phoned or faxed by our Customer Service Department, located at Gamma-Dynacare’s main laboratory in Ottawa.  Our transportation operations are being managed temporarily from our main laboratory in Ottawa and we expect no disruption or changes to specimen pick-up times.  We are working to fill orders from our Ottawa-area clients for pre-analytical supplies from the warehouse at our Brampton, Ontario laboratory. Clinics that ordered supplies within the past three days can expect to receive their shipments early next week.  Going forward, Ottawa-area clients can continue to order supplies via the Accuro Ottawa fax number, (613) 742-5162, as this fax line has been re-directed to our Ottawa laboratory, as have Accuro Ottawa’s telephone lines.
